Opie’s 1st Easter

It was a pretty uneventful Easter, though it was an utterly gorgeous day! Daddy was sick so we pretty much stayed in… but I had to get him out and at least get a few new pictures.

His faces just crack me up sometimes! I love that it looks like he’s taking a self portrait here. Really - he just wanted to put the camera in his mouth.

This is the “Puppy” face.

I puffy heart his little squinty smile!

He’s doing a few new things… pointing is one of them. He points at you… jabbers… waves… then jabbers more… as if you know exactly what he’s saying. He’s also in totally Mommy mode…. doesn’t want me to be out of sight… AT ALL. He’s not walking yet, but almost. Oh yeah - and he doesn’t particularly like having his picture made anymore. It was really tough getting these… I was very, very lucky. I cannot believe he will be a year in less than a month! OMG!

Whoa! My camera pulled double duty this weekend. I think it may need a rest.

Heather, Patrick & Basil (the squirrel)

Meet Heather and Patrick. Heather is one of my oldest friends. I’ve known her since we were 12 years old. I not even gonna do the math on that one!

This is a very interesting session for me. This was my first session that included a pet squirrel. Meet Basil.

This is the reaction I got when Basil decided to climb to the top of my head while I was shooting.

So… it seems I am involved in all that I love with this wedding. Photography AND Design. Check out a few pieces from their wedding stationery system and custom logo.

Don’t Take My Picture!!

I know I haven’t posted anything new about Opie lately… but this is why… He doesn’t seem to like me when my camera is in hand. Not a good feeling when you are a photographer. Still trying for a mini session. Maybe I’ll get something out of him the weekend. Isn’t he just Pity Full!

Profound

Zack Arias posted this yesterday on Scott Kelby’s blog… it’s funny and profound… just watch it.

Amazing Grace.

Meet The Amazing Miss Grace… a 2-year-old (well, almost 2) ball of energy. It’s been a while since I photographed a toddler. I had forgotten how much chasing after them you have to do. I guess you could say this was practice for when Opie starts walking. Ha!

It was these little feet that I was chasing after…

There’s a few tricks to keep them idol for little moments…

Thanks B&D for inviting me into your home and letting me play with Grace for the afternoon!

Mike and Pam are Famous!

Ha! At least in the Wonderful World of Wedding Blogs! Their wedding was featured on The Elizabeth Anne Designs Blog. I guess that makes me a tiny bit famous too, lol. I am a little late in blogging this. Elizabeth Anne is much better at staying current than I am, unfortunately.

Mike + Pam

This vintage inspired island wedding was one of the most gorgeous events I’ve ever been to! I’ve been trying to blog about this wedding for over a week now, but I had the hardest time narrowing down images…. There were so many sweet moments and beautiful details. I was blessed to have the help of a good friend and client, Tiffiney Addis. Not to mention my sweet hubby who came along to help us. And yes - we handed him and camera and he went for it! I couldn’t have done it without them. The images below are a mix from all of us. And just so you know - this was my first time as the primary shooter. Anyone think I should continue? The wedding and the reception were held at The Ribault Club on Fort George Island in Florida.

Makeup at The Ritz

Hair at Magna’s in downtown Fernandina Beach. Awww… Pam’s Mom was so cute as she pinned Pam’s veil.

I just love the look on Pam’s face as she arrived at The Ribault Club to get ready. Isn’t laughter wonderful?

OMG! The flowers were beyond gorgeous! I think the Peony is my new favorite flower!! Email me - if you want the name of the Oh-So talented florist.

Pam’s something old was her Grandmothers ring.

Mike and Pam chose to see each other before the ceremony so they’d have more time with their guests and we’d have more time to get all the images we wanted. We still wanted to make that moment a special one so we arranged the whole thing. I was beyond honored to be a part of that moment. Check it out below. Mike had tears in his eyes… it was beautiful! Well, he could have had something in his eye, but I doubt it. Haha!

First Glance… Hers

First Glance… His

That is one happy dude!

Right after Mike and Pam were pronounced… birds flew overhead. If that’s not a sign that this is meant to be… I just don’t know what is. Pam’s bridesmaids swore she planned this. She didn’t.

You can’t tell it was cold in these images. The sky was beautiful. The tide was high. It’s was gorgeous.

The Getaway… the guests threw lavender… it smelled so sweet!

The Getaway Car… a Rolls Royce.

Falling… in Love

The leaves are falling. The air is crisp. The colors are beautiful. I love the fall.

Playing in the leaves is always fun and games.

Until it turns into some serious business.

I love my men!

No Opie’s were harmed in the making of this blog post. ;)
