Overwhelmed

I have been so overwhelmed with my new job (i.e. motherhood) that I’ve hardly had a spare moment to photograph my new little model. I apologize to all my blog-stalkers who have been looking for new pictures of baby Opie. I hope to appease the masses with a couple of new photographs. This was my attempt at a real session… I only shot about 10 images and then I was beat! This is just another reason why you should always hire a professional. Images from the hospital to come soon… it’s just really hard to proof images with a baby in your arms 90% of the day.

P.S. Why didn’t anyone tell me how hard being a mom really is? I can’t figure out why anyone would do this over and over. Whew!

New Car Goodness

New babies and sports cars just don’t mix very well. Well… not so fast… while my 2000 Cougar doesn’t work for us anymore, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a fun grocery getter out there. If anyone knows my husband they know that he LOVES cars, especially fast cars! So… we ended up with a car that’s perfect for our growing family and perfect for my speed-racer husband too - a Cadillac CTS-V - with the soul of Caddy and the heart of a Vette. Can anyone say Road Trip? Oh yeah - anyone wanna buy a 2000 Mercury Cougar?

This kid is the spitting image of my sweet husband. They even make the same funny facial expressions. He’s already got so much personality! Ahhh…I’m in LOVE! CHeck out some new images of my sweet little man. More to come…

Now We Wait

Just wanted to update all my friends, family and clients…After having contractions for nearly 2 days - we’re finally at the hospital! Wahoo! Even better - the epidural is in! Double Wahoo! With any luck I’ll be able to show off my new love in the next few hours. Everything is going smooth and now we wait! I’ll keep everyone updated and hopefully have some pictures to post soon.

I recently hired photographer, Rachael Boling, to capture some really fun maternity images of my husband and myself. She came all the way down from Greenville, South Carolina just for us! And we had a REALLY awesome time hanging with her for the day. I think she completely got us and was able to capture our excitement about the arrival of our first born - Opie! She is just SUPER talented! I can’t wait to have her come back and photograph our new family. Go check us out on her blog! We were hanging with the birdies in Opie’s nursery.
