Profound

Zack Arias posted this yesterday on Scott Kelby’s blog… it’s funny and profound… just watch it.

Luxecetera: Process, Rates, Turnaround

We have been getting quite a few inquiries about our rates, time frame and process so we wanted to go ahead and give a status update on Luxecetera.  The web site has officially been designed and is being sent to the programmers as we speak.  Our incorporation papers have been approved and we should have the official papers any day now.  (So excited!!)  Rates have been established and so has our time frame for projects.  We are currently adding clients to our waiting list.  We will begin work for those on our list beginning April 1st.  If you are interested please email for more information. Click here for our rates.

A few people have also inquired as to how the whole communication process will work.  Will it still be a personal experience?  YES IT WILL!!!  NO WORRIES!  The reason we joined our businesses in the first place was so we could pool our resources but still retain the personal level of professionalism we have always been so proud to offer our clients. We are going to be just as personal and connected as ever, we promise.

Lisa and I will be co-directors of the brand development division.  When you hire Luxc to develop your brand you will work directly with one person (Lisa or I) the whole way through.  But the BEST part is that we will all work together to fully develop the best brand possible for YOU and YOUR business.

Eva will be directing the Fine Stationery and Templates for Photographers divisions.  Eva will also be helping with brand development, heading up the Album Design division and whatever else comes up. Oh … and Lisa and I will also be helping with these things as well!

Stay tuned because we still have a lot more to share of what’s to come at Luxc.

A Third Look

This is another new template collection that is in the works.  We are affectionately calling it Itty Bitty right now.  Another 5×7 folded birth announcement template set that will include original illustrations and patterns.  Stay tuned for more!

Andria Fontenot: Branded

Andria Fontenot came to me by way of twitter and Mark Eric a couple of months ago. She was all too familiar with good design as her sister was a talented graphic designer. Needless to say I had some big shoes to fill. Her photography focuses on Senior Portraiture. We ultimately decided that an owl was the perfect icon for Andria. The owl represents wisdom, the arts, literacy, the love of learning, reading, facilitating knowledge, educational goals and achievements, such as graduation. The owl is also a sort of family mascot and so it has a tender spot her heart. Perfectly fitting! Hoot! Hoot!

I thought it would be nice to show you the original sketch as well so you could see a little of our process.

A Second Look

Just another sneak peek of what’s in the works at LUXC … We will also be offering custom album design.  We are working on the pricing and options as we speak so there will be more information to follow soon.  Stay tuned … more to come!

A First Look

This will be the first post of several over the next week or so with sneak peeks and information about what is happening at Luxecetera. Along with wrapping up our individual clients, making decisions about our new brand and designing new things we have also been working on our product offerings. MANY new template collections are in the works, including a line called Luxecetera Signature. Luxc Signature will include several collections (baby and holiday to start). Below is a quick sneak peek of Luxc Baby which will debuting in about a month. Luxc Baby is a set of 5 folded 5×7 birth announcement templates complete with 5 original signature illustrations, original pattern designs and 4 panels for a completely customizable look. This is just one of the MANY new things that will be debuting in the boutique.  Stay tuned for more!

Amazing Grace.

Meet The Amazing Miss Grace… a 2-year-old (well, almost 2) ball of energy. It’s been a while since I photographed a toddler. I had forgotten how much chasing after them you have to do. I guess you could say this was practice for when Opie starts walking. Ha!

It was these little feet that I was chasing after…

There’s a few tricks to keep them idol for little moments…

Thanks B&D for inviting me into your home and letting me play with Grace for the afternoon!

Booked!

I’m sorry to say that I cannot take on new clients at this time… I am nearly to the point of being overwhelmed. I am still just one person at this point and find that I can’t do it all. I am looking forward to being three people very soon! HaHa!

We (Lisa, Eva and I) are trying to tie up all of our current clients and projects so we can start fresh with our new brand. We will be publishing new rates and packages soon and are scheduled to have our new site up in a month or so. Be on the lookout! We will be starting a waiting list for Luxecetera in the coming weeks.
